Promotions are the output of a quarterly review, not a daily one. Some years bring several first-cycle names and some quarters bring none.
* Founding members: the first 300. The launch price is locked for life for the first 300 paid subscribers who take an annual subscription and maintain it. For as long as you keep it, your price does not rise. It is a hard cap on the cohort, not on the business. Monthly subscriptions are not locked.
Kodama reports. It does not instruct. The Daily Alert is the record of what the model did, not a set of orders for your account, and Kodama knows nothing about your holdings, your objectives or your tax position.
Good research is worth its weight in gold. Subscription pricing is subject to change.

Every alert carries the target weight of the trade as the model took it. The grading vocabulary and the scoring behind it stay internal.
Whether this fits your account
The model trades whole shares and sizes every position as a percentage of its own equity. Below a certain account size it cannot take some of its own trades, so a smaller account follows the model less closely. This is a measured property of the model, not a rule imposed on you.

Questions
What is QuickStart?
A new Moyogi subscriber who wishes to follow the model builds into the portfolio gradually, each new position alerted as the model opens it, so it can be months before their account resembles the model's if that is what they wish to do. QuickStart hands a new Yamadori subscriber the model's full portfolio and its weights at signup, so they can see the whole book on day one instead.
How often does a first-cycle name actually happen?
Promotions are the output of a quarterly review, not a daily one. Some quarters bring several and some bring none.
Is this advice?
No. Kodama is a research publication and is not financial advice. We are only sharing what the model has traded, prepared without any knowledge of your financial situation, your holdings, your account, your goals and objectives or your tax position. We are not your adviser, and every alert reports what the model did rather than telling you what to do. What you do with this research is your decision and your responsibility.
Are the returns real money?
No. The published record is a hypothetical model portfolio that runs the rules mechanically. It is not an account, not a fund, and nobody's money produced those historical returns. The Kodama Trade Desk monitors it themselves on a going-forward basis only.
Your own results may differ, because the model pays no commission, trades at open prices, suffers no slippage, pays no tax, and never hesitates on a bad morning.
What currency are the prices in?
US dollars, for everyone, including subscribers in Canada. The research covers US equities and the record is kept in US dollars, so the pricing follows. Sales tax or an equivalent may be added at checkout depending on where you live.
Can I cancel, or get a refund?
Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time, and your access continues to the end of the month you have paid for. Annual plans come with a full refund if you cancel within 7 days of purchase or renewal, and a refund of half what you paid if you cancel within 60 days. Kodama did not begin as a business. It began with our uncle, who built a fortune trading, lost it, and spent the years afterwards building the discipline that would not have let it happen.

- Nature of the service. Kodama Mori Trading Inc. ("Kodama") publishes general, impersonal research about the behaviour and results of a rules-based quant model, along with other general market statistics, analysis and other quant models under development or in use. The research is prepared without regard to the investment objectives, financial situation, risk tolerance or particular needs of any person. It is not, and should not be taken as, a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, a solicitation, or investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Nothing published by Kodama creates an advisory, fiduciary or client relationship.
- Hypothetical performance. All performance information published by Kodama is hypothetical model performance and is based on backtested results. Backtested results are calculated by applying a fixed set of rules to historical market data after the fact. The historic returns do not represent trades that were actually executed, and no investor attained the full history of these results. Hypothetical results have inherent limitations. They do not reflect the effect of material economic and market factors on actual decision-making, and they do not reflect the risk that an investor would abandon the approach during a period of losses.

- Should you decide on your own to use the research for your own investments your results will differ. The Model Portfolio holds whole shares at fixed weights from a fixed starting capital. An account of a different size, funded at a different time, executing at different prices or on a different schedule, will produce different results from the record, and those differences can be large. Kodama does not know your account and cannot tell you how the record applies to it. Kodama is simply sharing the results of the model for illustrative purposes only.
- Accuracy and timeliness. Kodama takes care that the record is accurate and verifies each published trade against its ledger. Market data comes from third-party sources that Kodama does not control and does not warrant. The research is published as of a stated date and time and is not updated in real time. Kodama may correct errors after publication and will note when it has done so.
- Forward-looking statements. Any statement about what the model, the market or a security may do in the future is an expression of the rules' current state, not a forecast, and is subject to risks and uncertainties that could cause actual outcomes to differ materially.
- Intended audience. The research is intended for investors who make their own investment decisions, who want additional research to aid them in understanding the markets, and who are legally permitted to receive it where they live. It is not directed at any person in a jurisdiction where its publication would be unlawful.
- No guarantee of continuity. Kodama may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the research at any time. The model's rules are locked and are not changed in response to results; if a rule change is ever adopted it will be recorded, dated and disclosed, and the prior record will remain available.
- Intellectual property. The model's rules, parameters, universe and selection methodology are proprietary to Redwood Research Group Ltd. and licensed to Kodama. The research is provided for the personal use of the subscriber and may not be redistributed, resold, scraped or republished without written permission.
- Currency. All prices and all performance figures published by Kodama are in US dollars. Sales tax or an equivalent may be added at checkout depending on where you live.

- Cancellations and refunds. Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time and are not refunded; access continues to the end of the paid month. An annual subscription cancelled within 7 days of purchase or renewal is refunded in full, and one cancelled within 60 days is refunded half the amount paid; after 60 days an annual subscription is not refunded and access continues to the end of the paid year. A refund ends the subscription on the day it is issued and is made to the original payment method.
